About

The work is the practice.
The practice is the work.

Everything I know, I learned on the mat, under the bar, or in the field. Martial arts taught me how to move. Strength and conditioning taught me how to build. Working with Olympic athletes taught me what it actually takes when everything is on the line.

I train under Travis Stevens — Olympic silver medalist in judo, John Danaher black belt — and serve as head coach at his academy in Wakefield, Massachusetts. I’ve prepared athletes for the United States Olympic Judo team. I’ve published five instructional series with BJJ Fanatics that thousands of practitioners use to move better, recover faster, and stay on the mat longer.

But the deeper I went into high performance, the clearer it became: the body isn’t the limiting factor. The nervous system is. The athletes who break aren’t the ones who lack strength. They’re the ones who can’t regulate when it matters.

That understanding led me to co-found Baseline Method with Abraham Hunter — breathwork and nervous system training built for people who operate under real pressure. Not theory. Not wellness branding. A system you can take into a fight, a boardroom, or a mountain and trust it to hold.

I still train. I still coach. I still get on the mat every day. That’s the only credential that matters.

Baseline Method

Train the nervous system.
Change the baseline.

Breathwork and nervous system training for people who operate under real pressure. Co-founded with Abraham Hunter. We teach the peer-reviewed mechanics of how breathing controls autonomic function — and then we put those protocols to work in environments where the stakes are real.

“The goal isn’t relaxation. It’s proving your nervous system works anywhere — then taking it somewhere worth being.”

The Science

A slow breath out through your nose slows your heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and brings the thinking part of your brain back online. One input. One output.

Three Systems. One Breath.

Your stomach, your ribs, and your neck. Most programs train one. We teach the whole system to work together — then stress-test it.

Military-Grade Evidence

Tactical breathing improves shooting accuracy in combat simulations. Structured breathwork sped up recovery regardless of fitness level. The military doesn’t adopt things that don’t work.

Re-Immersion Into Nature

Weekend retreats. Guided hikes. Outdoor immersion.

Weekend Retreats

Immersive group sessions in natural settings. Breathwork, focus training, and goal-setting away from the noise.

Guided Hikes

Cadence breathing on the trail. Building regulation in environments that challenge and restore simultaneously.

Outdoor Immersion

Extended sessions that test your protocols where it matters — outside four walls, under real sky.

Progressive Tiers

Daily practice. Long-term change.

Each level builds on the last. Structured milestones connect daily practice to long-term, measurable growth.
